Planning your trip to Esperance can be a bit daunting, especially if you’re planning a visit during the peak summer season when seemingly every man and his dog decides to head out on the Perth to Esperance road trip. Fortunately, there are quite a few places to stay here, but choosing the right Esperance accommodation requires some research and a bit of luck.

Most visitors end up staying in the town of Esperance itself since it’s packed with the most accommodation options, ranging from cosy B&Bs to fancy hotels. The plus side of staying in town is that you’ll be close to cafes, shops, and some pretty scenic beachfront paths.

However, if you’re dreaming of waking up right next to the waves at Lucky Bay, you’ll want to look into staying in Cape Le Grand National Park. Out there, you’re pretty limited when it comes to accommodation options, so it’s best to travel there in a camper. Since options out in the national park are so limited, this post is focussed on just accommodation in Esperance town and its surroundings.

Ready to find your perfect spot? Let’s dive in!

High-End Esperance Accommodation

Unfortunately, if you’re looking for a luxurious getaway, you’re going to struggle in Esperance. There are only a few luxury accommodation options in Esperance, and they get booked up fast, so if this is what you’re looking for you’ll need to act quickly and book as far in advance as possible!

Esperance Chalet Village

Esperance Chalet Village is a top-tier choice, known for its gorgeous, Instagrammable chalets nestled right by the water at Bandy Creek. Inside your chalet, you’ll find plush bedding, crisp-white bedding, and lots of thoughtful design touches that add to the bright and breezy vibe. It’s also an adults-only destination, so you can expect a peaceful and quiet stay.

This place isn’t located directly in Esperance town but a bit further north. This means you’re just a short drive away from the town’s amenities and even closer to the breathtaking beauty of Cape Le Grand National Park. Expect to pay a premium for these stunning accommodations, with rates around $345/night. However, for luxury accommodation in Esperance, this is one of your best bets.

Budget-Friendly Hotels in Esperance

Here’s the good news – there are quite a few budget-friendly places to stay in Esperance! Here are our top picks:

Hospitality Esperance SureStay Collection by Best Western

Hospitality Esperance, SureStay Collection by Best Western (despite its long name!) is a gem if you’re watching your budget, with rates starting around $150 a night. It’s also located right opposite the seafront in Esperance town, meaning you can walk to all of the town’s restaurants, shops and bars easily.

This place won’t win any awards for stylish rooms, but they have everything you need, get solid reviews for their cleanliness, and, let’s be real, you won’t be spending much time inside your accommodation anyway when there are so many epic things to do in Esperance!

A solid continental breakfast is included in the room rate, which saves you the hassle of heading out each morning for breakfast, and it also has a pool – perfect for those boiling summer days!

Bayview Motel

The Bayview Motel stands out for its reasonable pricing, with rooms beginning at around $130 per night. Offering clean, spacious rooms that get solid reviews for their comfort and cleanliness, it’s a simple setup here, but has everything you could possibly need for a no-frills stay.

It also doesn’t hurt that the motel is located just a 5-minute walk from the centre of town, making it easy to pop out for dinner or drinks in the evening.

Comfort Inn Bay of Isles

Comfort Inn Bay of Isles is another solid option when it comes to accommodation in Esperance WA. Nightly rates here start at around $200, and for that, you’ll get a great budget-friendly hotel without sacrificing comfort, with a location right on the Esperance foreshore.

The decor is quite basic and dated, but the beds are comfy, the showers have good water pressure, and the wifi has been very highly rated by previous guests. The fact that there’s a swimming pool here, and it’s just a 200-metre walk from the beach, is the icing on the cake!

Holiday Resorts in Esperance

Esperance Pink Lake Tourist Park

With double rooms starting at around $120 per night, Esperance Pink Lake Tourist Park is an affordable place to stay near the town’s iconic Pink Lake. Since this is a tourist park, you’ll find a bunch of extra amenities you won’t typically find at regular hotels in Esperance, like a communal kitchen and a kids’ play area. The park features a range of accommodation options from cosy cabins to double rooms to powered sites for caravans and tents, catering to all types of travellers. Plus, if you book directly through the hotel you’ll also find a few pet-friendly options, making this one of the only pet-friendly accommodations in Esperance.

It’s worth noting that the wifi isn’t the most reliable, so if this is super important to you I’d consider other holiday parks first.

RAC Esperance Holiday Park

The ultra-reliable RAC chain of holiday parks is my favourite when road-tripping in WA because they always have a bunch of cool facilities and are usually spotlessly clean. RAC Esperance Holiday Park is no exception. The proof is in the reviews – this is one of the highest-rated Esperance accommodation options, averaging a 9.3/10 on Booking.com!

Cabin prices here start at $135 per night, and the park is located a short drive away from Esperance town itself, in neighbouring Castletown. The park has everything you’d need including clean facilities, a well-equipped kitchen, a children’s playground, big swimming pool, and easy access to local walking trails and beaches.

RAC parks are incredibly popular with WA road trippers and book up quickly, especially in peak season. Be sure to book in advance!

Esperance Bay Holiday Park

Esperance Bay Holiday Park is a centrally-located option when it comes to cheap accommodation in Esperance, with cabin rates starting at around $125 per night. Known for its cleanliness and friendly service, this holiday park has a bunch of different accommodation options, from self-contained cabins to grassy campsites.

The camping sites are pet-friendly, but the cabins are not, so if you’re looking for dog-friendly accommodation in Esperance be sure to bring your camper or tent.
